From every available channel comes messages that we should be aware of treat that spam can bring in to our homes through computers. Of course if our personal computers are not connected to the internet than we shouldn’t be worried at all, because we close one and only way that spam can get in you our PC. But some of you might think that in twenty first century computer without internet connection is useless and I could not agree more with that. So lets assume that our computer is connected to the internet and we would like to defend against spam. What do we need? First of all we need knowledge than software. Why knowledge first? Because even if we are going to install the best spam filter available it would be useless if we would be making the same mistakes over and over again. That is why I always suggest to read at least some basic information on how not to get spammed or robbed of e-mail address. If we have spam filter running and we know that it’s unwise to leave your email in every possible contact form, we can focus on another type of protection that will allow us to web filter. What is so handy in url filter? Power! The power of decision which content is allowed and which one is prohibited on your personal computer.
